| Russia:
Economic chaos has led to resignation and poverty for many of the 148 million Russians. Crime, corruption, and alcoholism are enormous problems. Only a dwindling minority believe in the God of the Bible. In contrast, many are interested in occultism and the supernatural. Pray that the 90% of Russians who have no meaningful link with a church will learn about the Love of Jesus. Pray for a network of church planters to spread across the country. The political climate is becoming more legalistic with regard to democratic freedom. Pray that church workers will obtain necessary visas and that they will find acceptance from the local people to share the Good News of Jesus.
Liebenzell missionaries are bringing support to the churches of Ekaterinburg and Tscheljabinsk in Siberia through evangelism, discipleship, and ministry to children, youth, and women.

Japan: There has been a gradual increase in the growth of churches over the last few decades. Still, the majority of Japanese learn of the Grace of God and become Christians as tourists in other countries. There is enormous pressure to perform well in society which leads to depression and family problems. Unemployment and crime are on the rise. Pray for strong, Biblical teaching that will renew the minds of Japanese Christians. Pray for missionaries in Japan to persevere, especially those in their first four year term of service as they attempt to learn the language and get acclimatized to the culture.
Japan is one of seven Liebenzell sending countries with missionaries serving in Mongolia and the United States of America. There are also Liebenzell missioaries serving in Japan in church plants, alongside of Japanese pastors in established churches, and in running a retreat centre ministry. There are also teachers serving at a Christian boarding school.

Taiwan: The more than 23 million inhabitants of Taiwan adhere to a mixture of Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism. For many, their daily lives are dominated by idol worship, fear of spirits, and magic. Pray for a renewal in the Taiwanese church and that they will seize opportunity to help fulfill Jesus' Great Commission.

Bangladesh: Bangladesh lies in the flood plains of the Bay of Bengal. This has no doubt contributed to this country being one of the poorest in the world. Since 1988, Islam has been the State endorsed religion. Pray for political stability and integrity in government that would help alleviate poverty and suffering in the nation. With over one half of the population under the age of 16, pray that this group will understand the saving knowledge of God's Love for them.
Liebenzell missionaries serve among the miniscule population of Christians, with Theological Education by Extension, pastoring support, and discipleship. They also serve the needs of mostly women and children at heatlh clinics, and work with orphans.
Kyrgyzstan
